Faithfulness Over Perfection

Devotional: Hezekiah’s story reminds us that faithfulness does not require perfection. Despite his flaws, Hezekiah walked consistently with God, and God honored his faithfulness. We often feel that we need to be perfect to earn God’s favor, but He looks at our hearts and our commitment to Him. Our consistent walk with God, even with our imperfections, is what He values. This week, focus on being faithful in your relationship with God, knowing that He honors your efforts and sees your heart.

Verse: ‘Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.’ – 1 Peter 1:3

Question: In what areas of your life can you strive to be more faithful, even if you can’t be perfect?

Faithfulness does not require perfection.

Prayer: Dear God, thank You for valuing my faithfulness over my perfection. Help me to walk consistently with You and to trust that You see my heart. Strengthen my commitment to You, even in my imperfections. Amen.
