Theme:

Experiencing “Days of Heaven Upon Earth” by aligning our lives with God’s Word and fulfilling His conditions.

God’s two-fold purpose for His children:

1. Future Heaven – Eternal life with Him. (John 14:2).

I. God’s Promised Blessings: A Foretaste of Heaven

II. Conditions for Experiencing ‘Days of Heaven Upon Earth’

(Deuteronomy 11:18-21, ESV)

“You shall therefore lay up these words of mine in your heart and in your soul, and you shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall teach them to your children, talking of them when you are sitting in your house, and when you are walking by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates, that your days and the days of your children may be multiplied in the land that the Lord swore to your fathers to give them, as long as the heavens are above the earth.”

1. Lay Up God’s Word in Our Hearts (v. 18)

• Store God’s Word deeply and live by it.

Psalm 119:11“I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.”

Colossians 3:16“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom.”

2. Keep God’s Word Always Before Us (v. 18)

• Let the Word guide what we see and do.

Psalm 119:105“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”

3. Teach God’s Word to Our Children (v. 19)

• Pass on God’s truth to future generations.

Proverbs 22:6“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.”

2 Timothy 3:15“And how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.”

4. Speak God’s Word All Day Long (v. 19)

• At home, work, and in daily routines.

1 Thessalonians 5:17“Pray without ceasing.”

Luke 24:32 – Meditate on the Word while walking: “They said to each other, ‘Did not our hearts burn within us while he talked to us on the road, while he opened to us the Scriptures?’”

5. Display God’s Word in the Home (v. 20)

• Make your home a testimony of God’s Word.

Joshua 24:15“And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the Lord, choose this day whom you will serve … But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

III. Conclusion: The Living Word and the Written Word

As we honor the Written Word (Bible), the Living Word (Jesus) will manifest His presence in our lives.

Final Challenge: Will you align your heart, home, and habits with God’s Word to experience “Days of Heaven Upon Earth”?

Reflection Questions:

1. How are you storing God’s Word in your heart and applying it daily?

2. Is your home visibly honoring God’s Word?

3. What changes can you make to better teach and share God’s Word with others?

Memory Verse:

Deuteronomy 11:18-19 (ESV)

“You shall therefore lay up these words of mine in your heart and in your soul, and you shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes.
