It’s Your Move

19 And he told him, “Get up and go on your way. Your faith has saved you.” (Luk 17:19 CSB)

There are times in life when it seems impossible to move on from something you’ve been connected to for awhile. Whether it’s sickness, a frustrating job, a relationship, a financial situation, etc. You’ve thought about it, prayed about it, asked advice about it, but it is obviously a waiting season. It happens in every life at one time or another.

Then, something changes that presents an opportunity to move in a different direction. In Scripture, Jesus was frequently interacting with people who were stuck in long term situations that seemingly had no solution. Often, at the conclusion of His conversation He would give them an option that, if taken, would change the course of their destiny.

  • “Get up and go on your way.”
  • “Take up your bed and walk.”
  • “Go, and sin no more.”
  • “Follow Me.”
  • “Damsel, Arise.”

Jesus provides opportunity. But, opportunity is only as good
as the will to choose it.

Often, I find myself waiting on God to do what He has already released me to do. Read that again!

  • Ask, and you shall receive. Seek, and you shall find. Knock, and the door shall be opened unto you. I’m released to do that.
  • Do you want friends? Show yourself friendly. I’m released to pursue that.
  • Do you want financial blessing? Choose to tithe and give. I don’t have to clear it with God to become a giver.
  • Do you want to feel closer to God? Draw close to Him and He will draw close to you. I can do that today.
  • Are you still waiting on something to materialize that you’ve been thinking is rightfully yours to claim? What if God has something different for you to pursue? Maybe I should release what I’ve been holding so tightly and prepare myself for the favored future He is releasing into my hands now.

Look again at the words of Christ in Luke 17. “Get up and go on your way.

That sounds alot like opportunity to me! It’s Your move!

PRAYER: Thank you Father for caring about every detail of my life. Help me to activate faith toward my future. I no longer want to be tied to things that I’ve held onto for so long. I see now that they are not the best blessings You have for me. Your best blessings always require a new level of faith and a willingness to pursue the new opportunities You provide each day. I hear the Spirit saying, “Here is your opportunity. Now, It’s your move.” I will choose to move with You!
