The people were accustomed to living in a spiritual fog, but there was an immediate illumination of spiritual truth when Jesus moved in among them!
“Everything the light touches…”
Everything within our reaches, all that is accessible, every resource and belonging…it all comes from the hand of God.
Represent!
Jesus called us salt and light; both of which have the power to influence. Salt influences the food that it seasons, and light overpowers the darkness. But, if the salt becomes tasteless, and the light is covered, our influence will have no eternal value.
